Teens often think some behaviors, like teasing and name calling, are a "normal" part of a relationship.
However, these behaviors can become abusive and develop into more serious forms of violence.
The goal is to understand how widespread dating violence (TDV) and adolescent relationship aggression (ARA) is among adolescents and teenagers in the U. With this information, researchers and practitioners will be able to design and implement effective programs to prevent dating violence.
Unfortunately, current estimates of dating violence are incomplete and sometimes contradictory.
The reason abusers make the choice to use violence is because they can, because it works and because they have the opportunity and self interest to do so.
